As I'm beginning to work more on my final major project now, i've produced some preliminary sketches for illustrations relating to the Beatles song 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.' I'm focusing on anthropomorphism and using the strange descriptions within the lyrics to create playful, character-based illustrations. These sketches show: marmalade skies, tangerine trees, marshmallow pies and the actual Lucy character.
